The United Way of North Central Massachusetts held its Annual Community Celebration at The Colonial Hotel in Gardner, MA. on Tuesday evening. The well attended event celebrated successes of the UWNCM and area organizations supported by UWNCM. The event is an opportunity for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston to hear from Senior leaders across a range of organizations and industries. May 21, 2025 -Worcester, MA The Office of Worcester County Sheriff Lewis G. Evangelidis held its Annual Flag Day Placement Program at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St. , Worcester on Wednesday. Over 160 volunteers placed 5,000 American flags on the graves of United States Veterans ahead of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, 2025. After Sheriff Evangelidis opened the ceremony, the flags were blessed by Deacon John Franchi and the volunteers dispersed to their assigned areas. Volunteering from Care Central
JV Mechanical, Inc. celebrated the opening of its new showroom at 45 Davis St., Webster on Friday morning. Webster selectmen Elaine Davies, Scott Dziedzic, Earl Gabor, Mark Rogers, Tom Klebart and Town Administrator Richard LaFond joined State Representative Joseph McKenna in congratulating the Waskiewicz family for 48 years of servicing the needs of residential and commercial plumbing, heating and HVAC clients throughout MA and CT. Richard Eastham, Community Liaison for Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. provided and educational presentation to residents of Heywood Wakefield Commons Assisted Living, 50 Pine St., Gardner. May is Stroke Awareness month, and Richard provided meaningful information regarding the most common stroke types, the signs and symptoms of a stroke, the risk factors for stroke and most importantly, what to do if you think someone is experiencing a stroke ( BE FAST). This class represents one of numerous educational offerings on serious illness conversations being scheduled across all locations and teams this month.
