The Office of Worcester County Sheriff Lewis G. Evangelidis held its Annual Flag Day Placement Program at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St. , Worcester on Wednesday. Over 160 volunteers placed 5,000 American flags on the graves of United States Veterans ahead of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, 2025. After Sheriff Evangelidis opened the ceremony, the flags were blessed by Deacon John Franchi and the volunteers dispersed to their assigned areas. Volunteering from Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. were Holly Chaffee, MSN, BSN, RN, President & CEO and Kristin Mattson, PT, Chief Development & Clinical Care Transitions Officer.
