Residents of Shirley Meadows, a 2 Life Community in Shirley, MA enjoy engaging with Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc.’s Terri Saveall. As the Wellness Nurse for the community, Terri provides education, vital sign monitoring, and connects residents with needed resources to optimize their health and wellness every Wednesday.

Wellness nursing aims to engage and educate individuals in their personal health and wellness by increasing confidence with knowledge of how to manage many chronic conditions such as heart failure or COPD, and to help residents understand their medications and how to identify early indications of an exacerbation.
As individuals promptly manage small changes in condition, they often avoid the need for hospitalization or urgent care. Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. is able to provide Wellness Nursing in part due to a grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
