Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. celebrated the longevity of its staff Thursday evening, recognizing 35, 20, 15, 10 and 5 year milestones with the organization.
Holly Chaffee, MSN, BSN, RN, President & CEO proudly led the event, especially recognizing a heroic act of Sarah Crowley, RN, in saving the life of a patient by recognizing an unusual smell in the patient’s home during her visit, calling 911 and removing the patient from the home during what the fire department identified would have been a fatal carbon monoxide and propane leak. While extraordinary, at Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. the extraordinary is “ordinary “in our work, shared Chaffee. “These acts of compassion and service beyond the routine role are what separates us, and our longevity is a testament to the engagement in our mission and in doing our very best in every home, in every day.”
