March 27, 2024. The Gardner Women’s Circle of Giving ( WCG) held its Spring meeting at the Clark Memorial YMCA in Winchendon. Attendees enjoyed a delicious spread of food and desserts, generously donated by Joyce Birchler and Dena Allread of Switchables. Lucky attendees took home beautiful centerpieces if their birthday was closest to the event! Presentations were given by Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. to share our vision of establishing a Memory Café at our Gardner office, and by Sleep In Heavenly Peace, and organization who provide beds for children who do not have one. After the votes were counted, Sleep In Heavenly Peace was the narrow winner, however many attendees were so moved by both presentations that donations were given to both organizations.
Our organization was presented with the ” runner up” check, which was a record breaking amount, on Wednesday April 24th.
